I was 23, and standing just to Losey's right when he took this pic.  What you can't see in this pic is how long Hoffman's hair was then.  Matt has Troy Polomalu hair!

Re: HOFFMAN'S GO HERE! hoffman thread....

Yeah, I did.  I remember Nolli doing those tailwhips over the hip in the S bowl.  That was nuts.  I met Todd Lyons at that one (he was riding a red Haro Monocoque race bike).  That was also the first time I saw Luc-E and Joe Rich ride.  They ruled, even though they all did their runs to the same damn song.  McCoy bailed hard on street.  I think he was doing a huge 540 on the quarter closest to the halfpipe and overrotated.  There was a guy on a chrome Holmes with 91 spoke rims and the biggest damn pegs I ever saw.  He tried to do an acid drop off of the rail over the tombstone (remember this one?) and hung his left rear peg up on the coping.  Faceplant to flat bottom.  Ouchie.

Re: HOFFMAN'S GO HERE! hoffman thread....

LMAO!  I heard that song so many times that day I've hated Danzig ever since!  It was funny that that was the only tape they brought, but damn it got old!  It was that flair in the beginning of the tape that jacked up DMC's  shoulder and took him out for the comp.  I loved that tail tap to nosepick to Smith stall to nosepick to pedal to drop-in he did though.  I do remember Robinson doing that crazy fenceplant.  It was especially crazy cause he couldn't get much more than 5 ft out at the time.  I also remember seeing Day Smith tear shit up in the parking lot out in front of the office in the jam circle.

this vid from 92 is when he permanatly messed up his shoulder on his flair wreck.....his shoulder injury (rotator cup tear off) that started it all
