Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

I have a Hazard Yellow set with the high-low type front hub with the 'Peregrine Master' lettering on the inside fin wall, not on the outer rim part.

Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

Ok so there is no real rule to this one just different variations throughout. I still think that the one's with the lettering on the rim side are the first gen because it's a flawed design that would get destroyed over time and I think they relized that

Who knows ? If we work together maybe we can figure it all out together ?

I'm headed to the flea market real quick to try and get my BoomBox Record fix

Wish me Luck

I'll be back

Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

I'm sure the ones with the lettering in the rim are the newer ones.  This set I have is an earlier because of the color but I have a set of Turquoise off an 86 RL20A that has the lettering on the outer rim.

Good luck with your boombox.

Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

Does anyone know when the 2nd gen mags were introduced?? Any difference in quality?

Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

My Hazard Yellow set(pictured above) has the high-low type front hub and the Peregrine lettering on the inside fin wall.  I also used to have a set of Turquoise with the high-low type front hub, but they had "Peregrine Master' on the outer rim area and "Graphite Composite' on the inner fin area.

I know the sets with the high-low hub came on 85 Redlines, that's where I got the turquoise set and I've seen a few other 85 RL20's with these wheels.  I've also seen the set like my Hazard Yellows on an 85 RL20 and they are an 85 Redline color.  The mags with the high(flush) type hub appear to be the 2nd or next generation or possibly even 3rd gen.  I'm not 100% sure of this.  Does anyone else have anything to add to this?

I've had a set that had peregrine on the outer edge with the flush hubs.  Still not clear on the dates.

Ah hell, I can't remember.

Re: Peregrine Mag colors.... shall we ?

The sets with Peregrine on the outer edge and flush hubs seem to be  86 or even late 85.

Anyone know if the clear 6-spoke versions ever made production? I saw them in the 1986? Plus! buyers guide and never again.

funny. I hated Masters when I was little. Now I would do anything for them. It is funny how my tastes have "come out" with age.
