1997 SE Racing Quadangle

The last generation of  'Made in USA' Quadangles

.
.
This is my newest daily rider...  1997 SE Racing Alloy Quadangle
I've always loved SE bikes & the OG loop tail Quads & the late 90s Alloy Quads are my two favorites!
I recently purchased this frame set (along with another NOS set) from a old school BMX collector here in So-Cal.
I had this frame & fork sandblasted & powdered metallic green & then applied 1999 decals. (because I like how they look)I decided to use all 'new school' parts on this build. Here's the list of parts...
-Rims...  Rhyno-Lite polished
-Hubs...   TNT polished
-Rear brake...  TRP 'cable pull/ hydraulic' 160mm disc
-Brake lever... Paul 'Love lever' polished
-Cranks...  Redline 175mm
-Pedals...  Asuka CNC
-Stem... SE Racing polished
-Bars...  SE Racing- Powerwing
-Seat... Kashimax Aero 'suede'
-Seat post...  Zoom
-Seat clamp... China polished
-Tires... Duro - slick pool tires (tioga clone)
-Grips... A'me
-Chainring & spider...  Sugino 38t & Neptune
-Freewheel... ACS Crossfire 13t

Re: 1997 SE Racing Quadangle

Congrats on this one... The thing is turning out sweet !!  I can almost feel how smooth and precision it rides just by looking at it. (and I don't say that often) Excellent choice of parts. Lovin the green power. The rear disc setup, and definitely the Kojaks. They make it look fast just standing still. Bitchen bike man big_smilebig_smilebig_smile

Re: 1997 SE Racing Quadangle

Looking like a very cool build, Venice!
That candy(?) green looks awesome.

Love the shape of the late 90's aluminum Quads... that's why I built one as well.

I'm using the same slinky Kojak tires on my 2013 Dkoi XXL that's in my bikes... and a disc brake rear end too big_smile

Re: 1997 SE Racing Quadangle

I took the Quad out for it's first ride at the beach today...   It's real smooth & solid, but I'm gonna lower the gearing a bit for easier pedaling.

Re: 1997 SE Racing Quadangle

It's like you pulled that color scheme right out of my head.  smile  I've been wanting to do a candy-green build for a year or so, just too many other projects ahead of it.

Excellent work, that thing looks quick as heck!
