1984 GHP Trix

A very rare freestyler from a great race company....

I bought this frame and fork set about 2 years ago.....its taken its time to get to this finished stage and to get here!!

I'm a big fan of mid eighties freestyle bikes - I lived and died freestyle, thats what BMX was all about for me.
I've completed a full build thread here:
http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php … 606.0.html
The frame and fork set came in two generations, the biggest difference being the front forks. As I'd always wanted a gen 2, the gen 1 forks were modified.....a big job, but completed excellently.

If it wasn't in Freestylin' I'm not interested....

Re: 1984 GHP Trix

in my friends basement, in the east side of vancouver, i have a 1983 ghp trix. i believe its pre production. its put together one way or another and rode every here and there, then it disappears for a while.

seeing yours makes me want to reassemble it properly.

you have a damn nice ride brother.
peace,
ninj

I'm not normally a fan of freestyle bikes, most of the time they just look like abominations to me, but this thing....holy chromoly. RAD!

got it. its now in a friends basement right down the street. build, restore, sell, or hide for more years....
looking at this fellas fine example almost swings me to restore. a truly outstanding example is what has been done by the wildwood in this thread.
back when bikes had class. when they looked awesome. when you could identify the quality at a hundred yard.

again, excellent work man.
