1999 Morales Flatland
1999 Morales Flatland
"poverty issue"
The first bike I ever parted together....
I got this bike put together in '98 or '99, bought all the parts as a self-present for getting promoted to shift-manager at the video game arcade...
It's a raw "finish" flatland frame, though I don't know what year it was actually made. Got it from Dan's Comp, listed as their Poverty brand.
I had the wheels put together for me, they've got 12 gauge stainless spokes (half polished, half black) with an interesting color pattern in the spoke lacing. The hubs are Fishbone Blowfish, freecoaster rear. 14mm axles on those. Peregrine HP triple wall rims.
DiaCompe 990 breaks front and rear. I never figured out how to run those brake cables correctly back then, but I've recently learned how they should be and I feel quite silly for not seeing how to run those cables.
Fishbone handlebars. Tech77 brake levers. Kore Flatland fork. Fishbone flatland pegs. Peregrine platform pedals. Redline 1-piece crank.
