Re: 1985 ELF Styler

Totally Cool !!!

Never even knew that ELF did the transition into the Freestyle world...

Cool to see how the companies had to adapt to the changing BMX climate at the time,  from racing to FS.

Nice job on the build !!!

Too many cool bikes out there,  not enough money in my wallet ...

Re: 1985 ELF Styler

been reading up on the few out there in another thread -- I gotta say, this bike just looks like it would have the most amazing geo for an oldschool freestyle bike. Looks nice and comfy. Great work!

Re: 1985 ELF Styler

I just noticed it has double thick dropouts, back when bikes had paper thin ones (even though they're just two thin dropouts welded together)!
Who knows, if this went into production it could be a historical frame, due to that!

Re: 1985 ELF Styler

There is one here that was never ridden and is still in the dealer's hands so I guess that would make it a NOS ELF styler.

What dealer? big_smile
Seriously though, this is my first time seeing this bike and it is love at first site.  Have always been a fan of elf’s, really wish they would have produced a few more of these!  Awesome ride, thanks for sharing it with the class.

That would be Coastal bike supply; he shut down years ago but still supports/supplies the local tracks. He still has a sizeable inventory from 80's/90's but he's very selective on what he sells. He told me the Pendergraphs only made 5 of the ELF stylers . He'll never let it go but I need to get some pics. of it. Not sure its ever been built.

yes, this is a really cool rare bike. I've got a few Elf's and love them.

I never log off and I had to disable my screen saver because it was causing problems , making me have to restart my computer every time it kicked on. Please keep that in mind if you message me and I don't reply back right away. Thanks.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did–in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.
