Shimano DX Cranks Question

I have some dx cranks, they do not have the bottom bracket cups or bearings. Is this a proprietary Shimano or can I use other brands.
Thanks,
Larry

Re: Shimano DX Cranks Question

I guess I should have included that those are the only parts I need. Two bearings and two bearing cups.

Look to the right hand end of the spindle shown above...see those gear tooth looking splines?  The backside of the spider has the female side that mates to that.

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: Shimano DX Cranks Question

That is a bike shop,  just not currently taking customers.

Good Lord Waza007,  not only the quantity, but it's all so nice, and displayed well.

Please post more to the museum, I'd love to see the collection.
