Trying to figure out wheels for my Hutch Trick Star

http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/90166/img_041357c96b6ca6.jpg

I am trying to figure out what a good wheel set would be for my Trick Star. It does not seem to be that easy for me. I'm looking for the opinion from other Hutch people on this.

I have BB bearings on order for my chrome Profiles, a nickle plated chain, and am looking to pick up some bear traps... so, a lot of shiny stuff/chrome there. The rest of the bike is Purple Reign with black and white accessories.

I saw some white Tuff II's that would 'look' cool, but I'm not really a mag fan, but then this will not get rode hard either http://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/194253 . I saw some really cheap chrome rims with a Shimano D-type coaster that would 'look' cool, but I hate to put something so cheap on this bike (I'm a coaster brake guy, and I rode D-type with Femco rims bitd, so I'm not totally against this) http://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/213605 . Then I saw a Ukai set with Sturmy-Archer hubs (the sale has been pending for few days now, but I rode an Elite VT when I was a kid so these appeal to me. I'm not stepping on toes here, this is just for examples sake.) http://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/204994 . Although I have looked at some Z-rims, I don't think that I would ever buy any, I just don't like them. I have looked at Peregrine 48's and do think that they look cool, but I would like another Hutch persons opinion on it.

If you have something that you think would look good and would be period correct, please let me know what you think.

Yes, those are Wind Styler bars, that and the seat post came with the frame and fork. The color works so I'm keeping them... unless I can find some white(maybe black) or chrome Woody bars.

Thank you for reading.

My prefrence would be a set of white 48 spoke arayas, or something similar...IMO that would rock!!

+1 on the seat guts.

Mags for show, 48's for go.  I think Z48's would be a perfect choice if you can find some.

Radberry or lavender masters, or lavender skyway. Maybe with white tyres.

Re: Trying to figure out wheels for my Hutch Trick Star

I forgot to mention, but I have black Panaracer HP 406 tires on order. I think that they look killer so that's what I'm going to run on this.

Re: Trying to figure out wheels for my Hutch Trick Star

Ah you know you want the Sturmey's!

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

What do you all think about this wheel set? Same seller, just that each wheel has its own listing.
