1987 Mongoose Californian
1987 Mongoose Californian
Built it the way I wanted it.
And, finally done! After all the blood, sweat, tears and frustration, I'm really pleased with the outcome. Old school frame, mid and new school tinge. Original paint, just cleaned thoroughly and polished. I wanted the 27 years of scratches, etc. to notice.
Rides awesomely well. Really nimble bike.
Had a Californian back in 1984. It's awesome to ride one again.

very, very nice! love the black and chrome. but what I love most about it (besides it being a mongoose ) is that it isn't TOO nice. just a pinch of patina, you build it how YOU envisioned it, and you can still ride it and enjoy it. excellent.
