1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

Cycle Craft Signature Series survivor, excellent example. Loaded...

My new favorite '80's 20". Found this beauty a couple weeks ago with a bunch of other stuff. One of my new favorite rides. It is a full survivor and possibly a factory bike. I am going to have the rear GT super lace re-chromed as I can not have the front one looking so beautiful and the rear corroding away. I may change the wheels completely to some Ukai Speedlines. I have the entire bike disassembled right now, not to sell, but for complete inspection, cleaning, lubing and rebuild. I want this thing to look as nice as my dad's 1983 VDC made Free Agent Cruiser, which actually has the Sugino 400's on it right now, they cleaned up very nice. Anyway, I really like this bike and don't have any intentions of getting rid of it. Enjoy!

Frame & Fork; 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series F/F

Bottom Bracket; Sealed Sugino 400's

Re: 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

This a absolutely beautiful piece of art I'm a Zeronine Junkie so i think of this build just as i do Zeronines it is a Sweet Piece of ARTWORK the way they painted the frame & forks & those bars are the best you found a piece of BMX History & a Great piece of  EYE Candy you are so lucky all A+ parts on it Congratulations I can't wait to see it completely finished and cleaned up  i think the decals are so sweet not to mention they built Zeronine frames for a while there is a sweet set of pads for sale on eBay right now they are NOS & a little pricey but they are sweet i started a Facebook group a while back called "Zeronine Old School BMX Owners Club" you should definitely post some picks of it on there & join the group SEE Cycle Craft & Zeronine Are FAMILY lol

Those pads are cool I think I may have to scoop them up. I have this sweet Zeronine Jersey too. Do you have a link for the Cycle Craft club on FB?

That's a lovely bike, and it's going to look great after a basic clean-up! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Re: 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

When I was researching someone was still calling this mini a xl?? Same style, size clamp and everything, someone must have been confused... I would like to find some GT Power Series cranks for her, I think they would look great. I have not found a set of those yet, hopefully since I mentioned them a set will pop up, sometimes it happens like that smile I would like to leave the Sugino 400s on the FA, they feel so nice with the GT Superlaces on the Araya 7x's, it rolls as nice as my brand new S&M Tallboy Charlie Crumlish BMXFU complete. I spent some $$$$ on that S&M too. About three times what I spent on the FA.

Re: 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

Very nice CC, just clean it up, it's perfect. It seems that's an expert size. The skinny wheels look good, also the FT400 cranks are more accurate to the era than the Power Series IMHO.

And nice to see a CC facebook page, unfortunately it's another non public page... sad

Re: 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

Anyone know of any og Sugino 400 decals? slim chance tongue The frame is 19.5" and the wheels are 21 X 3/8" Ukais, I was told they were pretty popular for the time. The frame is going to be a fun ride, I have a 20 X 1.75" minty blue ukai speedline with a shimano dx hub for the front I think would look good. All i need is a rear.

So I can claim you stole from me lol but no really I was asking so I would know the frame size. The mini rims are a tight fit which makes me think it's a pro size f/f.

Re: 1986 Cycle Craft Signature Series

Here are some updates;

Rims; NOS Yellow Pat Pend ACS Z-Rims W 1982 Suzue High Flange Gold Front Hub & Sunshine BMX Gold High Flange Rear Flip Flop Hub

Stem; 1ST GEN DK Stem Aluminum Wedge W Keyhole and 3/4 Knurling

NOS Cycle Craft Padset

I have a NOS blue Adicks chain wheel and a NOS Pro Neck Blue Power Disc W a NOS pink Pro Neck Power Gear, I would like to go wth those for a drive train set up. I also had a set of 1989 GT Power Series 180MM cranks that I had on the frame, but I did not like the way they looked. I would now like to find some Bullseye 3P in red 180 MM. I am unsure at this point if I will leave the Z rims and stem on hmm I am undecided.
