1984 Diamond Back Formula 1
1984 Diamond Back Formula 1
My Brother's original F1 from 1984
This is my younger brother's F1 from 1984. This bike is as original as it was when we brought it home and took it out of the box except for the spokes, nipples, and tires. I had the wheels re-laced with new black aluminum nipples and stainless steel spokes as this was the spec on the BMXA test May 1984. The tires are grey label Comp III's.
The F1 could have been so much more had they spec'd out a more reliable stem, and maybe used a different crank set up with a Euro BB instead of the boat anchor Forged Steel Sugino CT's.
