2014 Capitol P40

A rare super light & unique looking bike built for street riding

I built this bike 2 years ago & since then I have learned how to ride street. The geometry is amazing, its really easy to bunny hop on to higher things, I love it. This was my first really current bike build when I did it. I researched all of the components & read the reviews before I committed to anything. The results were really surprising as this bike is just over 24lbs all told.
This experience has taught me that there are still great new school bikes & rare parts, still made here in the USA.
I hope you like it as much as I do.

Re: 2014 Capitol P40

I was in the process of removing the brakes completely when it started to rain. So I just took a bunch of pics before it really came down. It's also filthy as I didn't have time to wipe it off.

Re: 2014 Capitol P40

I was hesitant to buy one myself being that they were so new & not proven at the time. But I really liked the way the top tube flared at the seat tube. It gets oval shaped where it meets that tube, really different. There are a lot of subtle details on this frame that really make it stand out. I'm glad I pulled the trigger & got it. It really rides well, extremely light & nimble.

Re: 2014 Capitol P40

Unfortunatley last time I checked their website, which was several years ago I think, it looked like they had given up on bmx frames for the more profitable world of DJ and MTB frames.  I know Dans Comp cleared out the P40 frames quite a while ago.
