1987 Haro Group 1 RS1

Haro and Pete join forces for all three National #1 Pro Plates  in one year

Some artistic license to present my modern day interpretation of an RS1 if Haro would have allowed me to build them a bike that Pistol Pete Loncarevich would have rode into BMX history's only #1's in ABA-NBL-USBA  for 1987-88 race campaigns.  The serial # points to a Fall of '87 manufacture date. My media research of an Official BMX Action  Test in the 06.1987 issue confirms 1987 model - frame has a black painted front: head tube & fork .  ('86's had black mid section and '88's had gray front ends.)  This fine frame, fork and bars came from an outstanding BMX Museum member. Judging from his stable of goods she's OG paint & decals -if she's not OG then somebody before me did a really nice job on the paint and applying the decals. I polished the tiny rust spots on the weep holes along with the very light peppering on the chrome so I am going to stick to my story: OG... and let the debate beginsmile

Haro Group 1 RS1 frame-fork-bars Fusion Seat Post Clamp Fusion Alloy DX style pedals Tioga Bear Trap headset Redline Flights-180 mm half pinch & polished 44T Flight Gear Tioga loose ball BB Cinelli saddle Izumi 3/32 chain DK stem Dia Compe 990's & MTB lever bent out AME rounds Shimano DX freewheel Pro Class hoops, chrome spokes,  alloy nipples laced to DK sealed hubs Comp III re issue rubber RePop Haro 1B plate with a pair of NOS # 4's in honor of all my Chicago 44T Homies
Thanks to all of the BMXM Bro's for helping me source all the OG goods and Planet BMX, Pork Chop BMX and Edgebrook Cycle for supplying the new hardware.
