haro dave mirra model guide

hi guys,

is there any previous post,or has anyone an idea of how many Haro mirra bikes models were ever produced?Ive been trying to find catalogs on magazines of the era,but I am blatantly confused with the blammo, mirra pro,540,backtrail,supra,etc,as they all look very similar,I scored an almost complete haro, and a frameset and some parts of another, and dont even know where to start;I did have a blue mirra pro in 2001,but bought it used that same year, and dont know the year of origin either.if any haro buffs help a confused GT head over here,Id gladly appreciate it!thanks!

Re: haro dave mirra model guide

Blammo 96-99
Supra(reg and dlx) 98-99

Early blammo-single wishbone design. More rounded wishbone design chainsaty gusset with hole in in it. Ahead design w/o reinforcemnet rings(small machined.) 7/8 tubing in the rear. Rounded, but large drop out. I think they were 5mm.

Later blammo. Larger headtube machining rings. Industrial strength dropouts (stamped 7mm). Retained haro chainstay gusset but now stamped with haro. 1 inch tubing in rear triangle. Stronger seatstay wishbone design..

First year supras mainly had a wrap around headtube gusset and smaller drop outs. later supras, I believe were just longer blammo with some thinnner tubing. There was a good thread on this not too long ago.

Re: haro dave mirra model guide

cool, thanks man,Ill look for it,any idea on the month?thanks again!yeah, one of the ones I just got is a green supra, the other one is a mirra,I guess, and has two gusset flat plates one on the top tube, and one on the bottom part of the down tube, pretty light frame too, lighter than the blue mirra pro I had or a green nyquist pro I had, even though all the frames look mighty similar,I also had a black 2001 flair, that was heavy as hell,I think the first LSD 'ed ones.I am so confused,lol...

Re: haro dave mirra model guide

What is year is the seocnd mirra you mentioned? The description sounds like the 04 which was awesome.
Double wishbone. Euro bb. and two gussets welded on the top and downtubes at the headtube. the lightest blammo-ish haro ever.

Re: haro dave mirra model guide

Sorry for a major thread dredge but can somebody tell me about a Haro mirra that is a bare steel frame with just clear coat over it and LH drive. It is supposed to be a signature model.

Any good?

Re: haro dave mirra model guide

I havent got one. Its original apart from one tyre. Its got a little rust on the Top tube but no big deal. Im looking at buying it for about $150. It does seem very heavy though.

I will see if I can find the same model in the museum and post a link.

That is too bad.  I recently picked up a last year 540 Air.  It wasn't the top of the line model I wanted, but I knew I would kick myself if I didn't pick this one up.

All Mirra's had decals that said signature frame/ signature model so now all you have to do is figure out what model it actually is. The Air was the entry level model, while the Flair was a Pro level frame but came equipped with less expensive parts than the Pro. If you have a frame that has double wishbone construction its a Pro level bike.  https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/90879/mirras35175863e1cfa4.jpg

Picture shows double wishbone. Hope this helps.
