Chrome Quad

Big Chrome Quad

So a while back my Uncle gave me the skull valve caps he had on a hot rod El Camino back in the 70's and said "Build a bike around these" and that's what I did.

I started with a chrome plated DC Quad. I added a set of Al's cruiser bars and attached them with a bitchen' vintage Crupi stem. Triple Traps with rashed black Crupi cages hold my feet like glue. Thickslicks were next, for a little more of that hot rod feel, and I finished it off with a skull brake lever from Fishbone and a vintage vinyl bar pad.

I've always thought chrome Quads were the coolest bikes, let me know what you think!

Yeah, I agree that chrome quads are cool. Your Uncle sounds like a character. "Here's some valve caps go build a bike around them." I love it.

Yeah, he's definitely a character. A custom chopper builder from BITD. The first motorcycle I ever got to ride on (the back) was his hardtail Triumph with a long 70's fork. I was 5, and it was the coolest bike I'd ever seen.

He's doing the same things he did when I was a kid, still growing the devil's cabbage and building cool choppers. lol
