2007 Mongoose Legion

My first new school build

************SOLD****************
From my research, I believe this was the frame from Tim "Fuzzy" Hall's signature complete bike in 2007.  No, this is not a Walgoose, the frame is full 4130 cromo and the complete bike retailed for over $600.  I got it for $19 on closeout  from Bike Nashbar in 2010 or so.  Just kept it in storage for a while, eventually built it up with a 2011 Stolen Cheater build kit in Gang Green.  The build ran into a few hang ups, starting with the discovery that this frame uses a very rare (for BMX) Cane Creek integrated headset, rather than the normal Campy spec.  Next up was the fact that the chain that came with the build kit was just not long enough for the chain stays on this frame.  Yes, this is technically new school but still clinging to a lot of mid school character weighing in at 7 pounds and having 14" plus chain stays.  At the end, I LOVED how this thing looked but never really cared for the ride.  Probably due to the longish chain stays and somewhat slack head tube.  Quickly moved on to a 2011 Fit Eddie Cleveland Signature complete but I still look at pictures of this thing and say, DANG, that was nice.  I labeled this dirt jump/trail based on the frame, even though my build was more street/vert.
