Re: Can REDLINE come back huge like Haro has?
They should do a line of 24" - 26" retro cruisers. Like someone mentioned - an RL24 II and RL26 II. And do a couple high-end modern-retro bikes as flagships, even if just as F&F sets w/ bars. Even if they're not money-makers, they make your brand look stronger. That helps you sell more of everything else.
Basically do exactly what Haro is doing (but in their own style), and keep current with the race division also.
They could get the guys at PlanetBMX to help out like with what they offered in colab with Skyway.

Redline has no interest in changing there new brand I ask a few years ago about the retro bike they took the old decals and changed it a little .. on the mx series. .I was a redline dealer or as know as Seattle bike supply... but never know just watch. ...

Here's my perspective as a Redline dealer.
Redline is in trouble. The brand as a whole has lost vision.
holy crap. thats horrible. they see bmx as a fringe market with the 'global' marking being mtn and commuter i guess.
i just checked and you can see how they have leaft it....
the redline timeline has not been updated in 4 years.

Accel owns redline and its a damn dutch holding company
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raleigh_Bicycle_Company
Raleigh being the owner would be kinda cool.
its arguably the oldest bike company in the world.
but sadly also owned by the damn dutch.
i hate the dutch!

Back in the beginning there was clearly a gap between Red and Line. Single words generally don't have a gap... Even all the new/newer logos they use an R and an L. Even on the bike you pictured along with that era pad sets had an R and and L... Why would that be if it was one word? Just a friendly debate of course.

Yes, it was two words as was Pro-Line. Unfortunately, it may be two words once again; In Trouble as stated above.

its been the copyrighted single word 'redline' for far longer then the two word generic 'red line'.
and thats why its one word... copyright.
i posted my 84 pl20 to show that it had become one word in the early 80s.

I get that, but to me it's still Red Line. The head tube decal on your bike clearly has an R and and L on it, same as the stem pad of that era. Copyright or not, it's silly.

How about a 26" squareback in nickel...
That would be a Nickelback. Millions would buy them buy them, but nobody would admit it
Redline could sink a bunch into their race line, but it wouldn't boost sales because racing is a shrinking market. People want value.
And while the race line looks improved, their graphics sucked for a decade or more, making decent bikes look really cheap. They weren't doing themselves any favors.

You need this headtube decal. It has an R and an L on it. Two letters for 2 words!

Re: Can REDLINE come back huge like Haro has?
Yes, they've always made stuff, but at least on the freestyle side, I'm not sure how they still exist. Redline hasn't been a really sought after brand for serious hardcore riders since the late 80's, at least for the freestyle lines, and hasn't been THE must have brand, Ferrari brand since RL left in what, 1987? I think they've always had good team riders, over the years they've sponsored Augustin, Rooftop, Adam Streiby, Jason Brown, and Berringer, but I don't think I've ever seen a serious rider on a Redline freestyle bike that wasn't sponsored by them since the 80's or early 90's.
