2007 SE Racing Floval Flyer 24
2007 SE Racing Floval Flyer 24
My first racer *Sold*
O7 Floval. Re-done stickers. Camo pads. SE retro saddle. Snap Stem, sprocket and seat post clamp. Brown Wellgo platforms. Bought this back in June 08 from a guy on ebay who built it to race and never did. I always wanted to race when I was a kid. We could not afford BMX when I was growing up. My dream bike was a PK. Welp I am 32 now. Me and my youngest son (7) are both racing!
Recently added the DK R/T fork to shave off 3/4 lb. I plan on keeping the LG and think it looks better with them on personally. They are just so dang beefy. I just wanted to lighten it up a little since I plan on trying to race this summer.

Nicely done. The skinwall Dirt Monsters are a good touch. I love those tires. IMO it looks better with the LGs. Drives are nice forks, but SEs need LGs.

I agree the LG looks better and trust me I still have them. I put the DK R/T on there because I plan on trying to race with my 8 yr old son. The Fork switch alone shaved off over 3/4 LBS. I was just pleased it didn't look terribly bad.

After racing for 27 years, I think I can tell you with a fair amount of certainty that 3/4 pound of static weight will have very little appreciable difference in the way the bike rides or how fast it goes. You're much better off trying to shave 5 ounces from the wheels. Rotating weight has a much more pronounced effect on performance than static weight.

ohh i agree. dynamic weight is far more important than static. a good set of wheels are so danged expensive though.
