This one jumped in my face this morning as I was selling some Hoffman bars.  I got the question:

"Are these third generation ramp room bars?"

I was at Hoffman bikes back then.  I can assure you there was a ramp in the ramp room.  The shop was in the back.

ramp room is just slang we use for anything built in okc cool

Well, what really bugs the crap out of me are people with hacksaws.

Mostly talking about hacking off 990 mounts in order to be cool, or to provide chain clearance.

For christ sakes, put down the damn hacksaw        hmm

People that forget what BMX is all about.

Heres my profound, life changing statement.
Lifes a bitch..PASS ME A BEER.

They're reacting and that's wonderful. It's better than them sitting there doing nothing. I say make them react - do whatever's in your power to move the audience, and if that's where it is, and there where it is with America, sex and violence, then I say project it.

CW Bars. Just look at this ugly thing.. I can't believe people even buy these, let alone COLLECT them. It's like they ran out of tubes at the shop and decided to use some dude's seatpost for the crossbar. It's lame, pathetic, unimaginative, lazy, uninspiring, and ugliest handlebar ever made. I just can't find enough adjectives to describe this repugnant of a creation.

In contrast, the most beautiful bar ever made was the Haro Kneesaver. Just imagine how sexy and innovative that thing is. The CW bars is poop, just absolute POOP in comparison.

I hate having to spend nearly 50% of what a craigslist bike costs me just to put new tires and tubes on it

Re: BMX Pet Peeve's and things that just bug you about BMX.

D**#%$bag new school riders with no brakes "cuz that's how everyone COOL does it"
I don't know how many idiot teenagers have crashed into me because they lost control due to lack of brakes. Then you ask them why they don't have any brakes and you get some BS like;" I ride better without them",  or "my friend he's like, pretty much a pro, said that only losers use brakes"

Going back to the first post, pictures!  Parts or bikes in front of banners or on top of something that doesn't allow me to see the part or bike clearly on a simple background that contrasts the part and not blend it in.  I skip those as they really want you to see the background and not what's for sale.

I had a pair of CW style handlebars that came on a Cycle Pro Foiler that I bought used back in the mid 80's and those bars were one of the first things that I changed on that bike because I thought that they were ugly and too tall for me to pull up when going off jumps.

Re: BMX Pet Peeve's and things that just bug you about BMX.

you may hate CW bars but they ride really nice. they are stiff as hell (hands down the stiffest bars ive ever ridden)
and a lot of people like them.

my peeves -

#1 - putting decals on wrong. like backwards or upside down. wtf people?!?!? you took the time to get
replacement decals but cant take the time to actually look at what the hell you are doing when placing them?

#2 - people who ask about non bmx chit in the background of my bmx bike pictures. yea i got a car, truck, house,
lawn furniture, cat, dog, etc. and sometimes it can be seen when i take pics. but im not at the museum to sell this chit
nor do i want to talk about it in my for sale thread.
