Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

This is definitely coming in 20" with a 21" top tube, integrated 1 1/8th headset, 14mm rear drop outs for proper new school wheels and in all three original colours

Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

lollollollol  About a week ago in another thread Colored Tuffs said this is still in the VERY early planning sessions and not even a definite for production.  NOW somebody wants to come in and declare that they KNOW the colors and top tube length rollroll  IF this thing comes to production at all I'd be amazed if there were 3 color choices.  Based on the lack of interest shown in all the threads so far and the minimum order requirements for each color produced, it would be amazing to see more than one color.

lollollollol  Colored Tuffs, we know who he is.  And his statement was very clear that he is on the planning committee or whatever they call it on this bike and there is nothing concrete at all yet.  But this guy says otherwise so I guess we just gotta take his word for it roll

Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

Good thing I'm not a Skyway guy, just a guy with a general interest in cool retros.  If I was a Skyway guy, I'd have given up by now with all the conflicting and ridiculous stuff posted by Ed, Beast and this guy. roll  But as is, I'm just waiting to see a new retro and hoping it looks cool and has legit rideable new school credentials if/when it ever comes to reality.

Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

Those drawings are from Skyway.  I was consulted a couple of years ago with this project.  I told them the 85-87 Street Beat was the one to copy, not the 88.  I don't know the status of the project.  I told them to make it a flat bike, or a park bike, or a cruiser with specific geometry and details like brake position.  As long as I know what they specifically want, I can help make it a great modern version.

ride your bike until it breaks.

Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

Hey, look. The names STREETBEATBEAST for a reason.
I, more than anyone wanted to see this bike realized.
The truth is..there are only a few hardcore STREETBEAT fans out here.
The LACK OF INTEREST in STREETBEAT related threads has been WELL DOCUMENTED.
There just isnt a market for a new STREETBEAT. PERIOD.
I suggest the mods/admin just close this thread.
Its a dead subject. Let it R.I.P.
