Re: 2016 Skyway Streetbeat Unveiled

Crazy how not too long ago you couldn't give a Street Beat away. There were nos framesets everywhere. Now you're hard pressed to find one and when you do they're commanding high dollar. A shame this project isn't a priority for the new owners. Obviously it's not as profitable long term as their wheel business but it's still profitable in the short term. Not to mention that selling retro frames will also sell more wheels roll

Definitely true, problem is we all need to be on the same page.  I’m happy to give a bro deal to someone that really wants something, but too many times this person just turns around and flips for more.  You get burned like that a few times and you start pricing things the same as everyone else sadly.

If I got burned twice for giving out bro deals,it would be the end of that from me.I also would inform the person who got the bro deal,I will never sell anything to them again, unless they are willing to pay more than what I am listing the item for to make up for my loss.

New Skyway

Nice bike!  Totally an old school replica with no new tech for the guys who want to have an OS complete.  Love the tires and the headset is pretty cool.  It's a lot of money though.  Only one thing that's confusing is one pic it shows a silver Skyway logo on the side of the seat and another pic it looks like it might say Kashimax in gold.  Maybe not, just looks different.

cool  Not a Street Beat but still rad!

That site is in AUD, so, it is around 1170 USD.  Not so bad but not a good deal. hmm
Odd it has 25.4 seatpost which the OS bikes didn't...
For the seat it states it will be a Kashimax Skyway seat.  To me that means it will be Skyway branded but made by Kashimax for production.

So is this new soon to be released bike a joint venture between Skyway and another company?

Yeah, it is typical with the pre-production builds to have variances... and with Skyway, even the production builds. lol
Going by the listed specs it appears it will be the Kashimax but Skyway branded.

My guess is this is being made in AU facility but Skyway approved like the UK made tuff2 bitd.  The question is if this is og Skyway approved or the current fake CEW/Skyway???
