2009 Schneider Pro XL

I wanted something special for my first real BMX race at 49....when I saw this one, I knew it was the one.

2009 Schneider Pro XL frame and fork made by Doug Schneider Race Frames in Colorado.

Info on the company from GAry:

Schneider Race frames are made out of Colorado by Doug Schneider. All of Schneider's frames are chromoly from Micro Mini to XXL Cruiser frames.

In 2003, Doug got together with local A-pro BMX racer, Justin Brunner, to start building BMX Bicycle Frames.  Doug got some of his racing roots in BMX back in the 1970's.  Doug's extensive experience from building race car frames combined with Justin's riding skills has translated into some top-notch cromoloy frames for both the BMX & Mountain Bike communities. Schneider frames have frequented the podium at many ABA & NBL races by the way of Lucus Howes, & Dave Archibald,

Wish I could say how it handles on the track, but I bailed hard a month ago on my old bike and my hand is still jacked.
Hoping to put some laps on the Schneider next week.

Finally got this one out on the track today...it was awesome.

My kid took a few laps on it too, might have a hard time getting it back from him, wink

Thanks. I switched out the saddle to a Tioga Spider just because I think they look cool. Bike rides awesome...couldn't be happier with it.

Still no luck tracking down Doug Schneider though.

As far as the racing goes...do it.
Wish I had started at at 20 and not waited until 49, but my son and I are having a blast.

Find your local track, hit their open practice, and you'll be hooked.

Re: 2009 Schneider Pro XL

I raced for Schneider Race Frames from 2004-2010, this is my last 20" he built for me. I didn't really race it that much. By the time I built this bike, I was only racing Cruiser and starting to rider 26" MTBs in bmx. This frame is last generation of frames that Doug built, it is incredible. I also had the same frame in 24" that I raced until 2012. Not many people know about the Schneider frames but from 2004-2008, quite a few NAG plates were won on those frames.

Wayne, thanks for posting. Can't see if you posted pics from my work computer, but I'll check when I get home.

Any chance you have contact info for Doug? I'd love to get some decals for my frame.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2009 Schneider Pro XL

Have always liked Dougs frames and now have one that is 1 of 2 and with his forks that is 1 of 4 he ever made.  Mine is a 24XXL though, Doug owns the other XXL
