Re: Quality or Quantity what your collection

I had 25 bikes 2 months ago. Mostly middle of the pack. Picked up some nicer stuff which I liked way more. I am planning on thinning my herd to 5 quality keepers. My wife supports that decision.

Alan that is a serious bike collection! Not too many people on here can claim to have owned all those bikes.

Re: Quality or Quantity what your collection

I've collected a quantity of quality lol

I collect what I like to ride and almost all my bikes are quality or have high quality parts (with a few exceptions). I got rid of anything I had Old School since I prefer the way late mid school to new bikes perform.
I build what I like and don't really care if they impress people or not

LOOKING FOR :
Mid to Late 90's Race stuff  20 & 24"
Standard Bykes Race parts & f/f
Profile Racing chain tensioners in DK Gold (mid school ones)

RAW DEAL TEES

Re: Quality or Quantity what your collection

Since I've gotten back into BMX...

Old School:

1983 Diamond Back Pacer 500 (Already but finally got some nice parts for it. )

1987 Kuwahara Magician EX. (Got this a couple weeks ago and it rides beautiful)

1984 DB Viper

1985 GT Performer! Classic! Just need to upgrade some parts.

1987 Mongoose Decade...Been trying to find the correct forks for a reasonable price.

Mid School:

1991 Dyno Compe (I bought this new BITD)

2000 GT Performer ( Absolute Tank)

New School:

2015 Volume Bermuda V.2

2016? Kink Curb

Honestly none of my bikes are particularly rare or valuable, but I still love them none the less. The only bikes I could probably live without are the new school bikes.

I'm starting to lean old school only. I don't enjoy the new school stuff as much as I thought I would. But I do ride all my bikes.

Re: Quality or Quantity what your collection

I've grown a little, especially over the past few years, I love old school, my fav, 88 pro series is 1 of the most comfy bikes, jump forward a few and my fav to cruise is my 09 quad...my fastest is the 14 pk ripper...they all ride diffrent, but have the same heritage...best looking, but worst to ride is my 81 SR Toro ll lol

Then you must have at least a couple thousand pictures of said bikes.

when I buy  or shop for a used bike  I don't buy just because the price is good or cheap. it has to be a bike frame that looks good, or could look good with my help. that way if nobody want's to buy it  off me . for more than I payed I don't  really care I am fine with just  keeping it!
