Chitowns young guns might have a say where the cup ends up.
Kane and Toews will be a tough matchup for anybody......go Hawks!!!

By the time they get to the second round (which they most likely will), the Flames will have beaten the hell out of them. Look for them to lose that round.

Could be......the Flames look strong.
But it's been awhile since the Hawks made the playoffs so I'm trying to be optimistic.
I still don't understand how Wisconsin doesn't have a hockey team yikes yet there is NHL teams all over the south(hey at least we get effing snow....I don't see any snow in Florida or Cali).I know Milwaukee could support another pro team.
Oh well until then I'll keep rooting for the Hawks.

Flames / Hawks should be interesting.... Flames are beat up on D, but Kipper is so good. Just like almost any other sport ( or life for that matter ) you have to learn how to lose before you learn how to win, and while the Hawks are awesome ( and led the league in attendance.... take that Montreal ) I doubt they will beat Calgary, but next year, watch out for them.

Rangers won tonite, but they wont beat the Caps.

Sharks / Ducks should be a BLOOD BATH.

Next year the Oilers will win the cup!!!!!!

Re: NHL

Columbus will feel empowered going back to their own building, but I have to think they're over their heads. I don't see much changing out here. Prolonging the inevitable at best if they can win a game.

The sweep is complete!!

It was an ugly game 4, but you had to expect Columbus to come out desperate!

Re: NHL

I hope its the Ducks! I would at least have a chance at going to a game!

But the wife just dropped a small mint on NIN tickets so I don't think it is in my future. sad

Re: NHL

Well, after paying the amount in taxes we paid this year, and seeing that the wife wants to see NIN as much as I do, and doesn't care to see the Wings, and she usually gets pretty tipsy at the concerts, which means she is more "fun" when we get home, I think I have my priorities aligned just right.

Re: NHL

None of my printed TV listings said the Columbus/Detroit game was on so I kept checking the computer. What a surprise when I flipped through the channels and the game popped up. What a bigger surprise when it was 5-5.

Re: NHL

Wings win it tonight! Osgood gets his 2nd shut out of the post season.

(wishful thinking)

Ducks may resort to their nasty play from last year and try to bash their way in to the Conf. finals.

They'll not go down w/out a fight. I hope the game is televised out here. Lots of black outs in SoCal. Maybe FSW will show it.

Re: NHL

Detroit leads Western Conference Finals 1 game to 0. sad
And they made it look easy.
If thats all we have to throw at them we are in deep sheet.....I suspect they will fight when it gets back to Chi-town.
Even if it isn't this year....I think the Hawks are the team to finally steal the West's domination in the near years(the young guns can only get more experienced and bigger-stronger)the hockey gods are once again at peace.
Go Hawks!!!!!

Re: NHL

yep, we have a nice Central division rivalry brewing. My not escalate to the Wings/Avs rivalry of the 90s, but we could get near it. all it takes is one dirty hit! Looks like Burish may be the one to deliver it too.

The Wings / Avs series of the 90's were amazing ( See Claude Lemieux )

Watch out for Carolina, they are hot like in 2006, and thats the year they beat the best team of all time.
