NHL

OK I'm a Flyers fan, so I'm going all the way with the Flyers.  It's destiny.  I said DESTINY.  I can see the headlines.  From 2007's worst team in the league to the Stanley Cup Champions.  Destiny.

The battery is discharging, the oil temperature is very high, the oil pressure is very low, water temperature is off the chart and I am running out of petrol...but the clock is correct.

DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was a Flyers fan growing up, only because Bobby Clark lived down the Street from me in Mt. Ephraim, NJ. But then the Devils came to NJ and I started listening to SLAYER so.......it was a no-brainer.

Devils.
I do work at the new arena and it's already infested with rats. Why did they ever move to Newark.
It looks nice though.

Re: NHL

Ok all you Red Wing fans,  the Wings got spanked tonight by Nashville.  2 quick goals in the 3rd and an empty netter.

Don't really consider that a spanking-empty netters don't count.  And, that is why they play best of seven and not one and done.

PS.  I was a Wing's fan before it was cool...

Uh thanks for the lesson, but when the Wings (the #1 seed in the NHL) were leading with less than 4 minutes left and give up 3 unanswered goals and lose...it's a spanking!

PS  Since when don't empty netters count?

Re: NHL

Empty netter  just don't count since there is no real impact on the outcome of the game.  Score an empty netter the other team loses by 2 instead of 1.  Still a loss.  Wings got dominated in the last 10 minutes of that game.   Arnott dropped the hammer on that last goal just blew it by Dom.
I am not worried about the Redwings-#1 team in the points in the league.  They will go past the first round this year.

that's not exactly true..a team can either tie the game or even win...

but what I think your trying to say is that if the team that scores the empty netter is winning, there's really no impact, since the game is pretty much over..

but as we all know with hockey...you never know what can happen...lucky bounce, deflections....etc..lol

Re: NHL

Pullling the goaly at the end of the game to try to tie a game only ties a game 1.3% of the time-Based on NHL, AHL, ECHL, CHL, and IHL games in which a goaly was pulled for the extra attacker.  Of those games 28.43% had an empty netter scored against.

But you never know when a big butt sits in front of the net and get s bounce off that caboose and beats the goalie.  I hear you.  Stats or no stats-that is why they play the games instead of going by what the spots writers say. Even though the wings lost-was still exciting.

PS, Tigers still suck.
PPS for now.
