1982 Kuwahara Apollo 24

24" Apollo Kuwahara

Found this bike last summer on Craigslist. Frame, Forks and Handlebars only. Picked it up for $70.00. Was going to be my first build. Guy I bought it off said he just didn't have time or money to restore. Originally thought it was only a 20" but after trying to install some 20" tuffs soon realized it was a 24"! Didn't think they existed in the Apollo form. Not much info on the web about the Apollo Kuwaraha as back in the day wasn't the most sought after model. But for a 33 y/o bike I'm going to give it continued existence. Has all original paint, which have been debating whether to get it painted. Previous owner had already removed front Apollo badge and put the factory sticker on the front. Has the win stem from the E.T. days and I put some 24' graphite tuffs on it. Plan to get some red skinwall tires, New red seat, new brake levers to match the mx1000 dia comps I've installed, maybe get some red Kuwie pads and call it a day. Will update photos as It improves. Cheers.
