the 80’s...

Same bike that I posted earlier, but this time a close up of the brand new SE sprocket and spider combo...

Radness!

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

Here's some info to the questions previously asked about the Fat Ripper:

GEARING: 27x14 Feels like a normal 44-16 style BMX gear on a 20"

REAR SPACING: 170mm

FORK SPACING: 135mm

BB SHELL: 100mm

WEIGHT: 35 lbs This is a bit heavier than the sample that I had at the Spring Fling. I had aluminum sample forks on my bike there. They were not strong enough, so I have swapped them out with beefy Cr-Mo Landing Gear forks, the same ones that will come stock on the bike. They are a bit heavier, but bullet proof.

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

I hope SE takes an attempt at something like a So Cal Flyer... But in a 22" size. (Rip-22)?!? I feel a touch too small for my 24", and a touch too big for my 20"... I do really enjoy my SE bikes a lot though! Keep up the great work you do every year on these bikes, Todd Lyons... And big thanks to Capt. Nemo for running this thread this year! I look forward to these SE Sneak Peeks every summer.

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

My first and only PK as a child was an early to mid 80's Ripper in yellow and chrome. It was wanting to replace that bike in my old age that lead me to this site and opened my eyes to the fact that SE was still making bikes!. Since then (about 2months ago) I have purchased both the blue and the famous 2015 big rippers as well as the 2014 orange OM. I really love what SE is doing and love that Todd is on here taking all feedback (good, bad, ridiculous or otherwise) c'mon, what company does that?.....so, I dont know what the yellow bike is, but if its a 26" or larger, put me on the list for one Todd !!!

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

Thanks Capt. Nemo and Todd Lyons for this Sneak Peek Post and all your other posts through the years!  I love reading you guys.  Todd, same as last year, if a Gloss Black 26 Quad with chrome lettering is coming down the pike, my check is in the mail as well.  A Polished might get some money pried out of my wallet as well.

Side note-How bought that Big Air comp at the X games!!  My God, I think I'd have a heart attack just standing at the top of the ramp.

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

Alright, for all the naysayers that complain that SE doesn't make innovative new school bikes, I can tell you those people have never ridden one of these bad boys.

Even a "sneak peek" screams podium finish!

I was a fan of the Elites in 2015 and it looks like I'll be a fan of the 2016s as well.
