Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

Todd Lyons and Capt. Nemo:

May we have a full pic of the 2016 OM Flyer, please?  I have a build in mind, but need to know what it comes with stock.  Thanks.

All right SE fans, you all know it's been a hectic and overwhelming couple of weeks with Scot's passing. But I've been informed to get this thread back up to speed.

So here is some more cool stuff...

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

I'm liking the color scheme on the freestyle quad a lot better than last year.  Heard last years topped 30lbs though, which seemes like a lot given that my dual suspension geared 29er MTB weighs considerably less.

The problem?

Hardly ANYONE buys the 20" Quads. The last one they did was the black and chrome one. Friggin' KILLER! And yet, they still went on closeout.

Other than the 20" PK, the retro line's bread and butter are cruisers.

Re: 2016 SE Bikes Sneak Peek Thread.

If we cannot have a full pic of the OM Flyer until later, could we have at least a shot of the seat and post and possibly the hubs. I have pieced it together with the other partial shots online. But would like to see if I need to buy a different seat/post and/or wheel set for the build I have in mind. Those are the two areas of the OM that are still a mystery to us. Thanks

See everyone at the LBC tribute today
Cheers

The problem is that I wanted a 20" ;) I understand why they opted for the larger frame. And as far as the Quads go they've been making those forever now. That's why u can barely give those away. All over ebay and even Planet Bmx can't get rid of them after they've dropped the price dramatically. But a 20" freestyle Quad we haven't had in forever. Would've been nice to see them do at least one small run of those. But no biggie. Still love what they're doing. I'll just have to hunt for something else that suits me.

Will the 4 pc freestyle handle bars be available for sale separate from the bike?

I actually wish all my retros had calipers too but we're in the minority and SOL.
Take a look at Gary Turners new line

Agreed. I don't understand the v brakes on the retros considering that 990s work just as well and look a lot closer to the old school calipers in shape and size.  I mean if they are going to go new school, 990s make more sense in my opinion. Regarding the new DiaCompes they really aren't all that great. They are basically the Chang Star or Lee Chi copies from back in the day with DiaCompe stickers. Don't believe me? Even DiaCompes has said they don't have any of the tooling from the real ones. So where did the new ones come from? Hold one of the new and the old and it is obvious. Even the markings/castings marks are the same as the cheap Chinese knockoffs.
