1999 Redline Double X
1999 Redline Double X
Squareback Redline given a throwback feel - SOLD July 2015
Found as mishmash of parts with a Dyno/GT/Schwinn front end, rebuilt with an old school vibe. It already had the squareback rear triangle so it was halfway there.
All the decals were already missing, and since I think most of those mid-school graphics look like hell anyway, I went about creating my own set.
Redline bars, RL monster cranks, GT fork, Schwinn XS Pro stem, alloy porkchop clamp, post, and disc, Suntour chainring, VP pedals, Viscount seat, Sprinfield brake and lever, Alieantation Demolition Team tires, Redline alloy rims and some oddly marked hubs that nobody seems to know anything about.

So very cool! Got my vote in the build-off.

Re: 1999 Redline Double X
I got this bike off craigslist. Very new school for me, but glad I got it. One of the nicest riding bikes I've ever owned! Great job on the build.
I'm always looking for early Mongoose frames with the lower gusset, 75-76 or early 77. And anything Ashtabula!!!
ALWAYS LOOKING FOR OG SCRAMBLERS.
SEARCHING FOR A PRE-1983 SCHWINN SCRAMBLER THAT WAS PURCHASED FROM THE OUTDOOR STORE IN RED WING,MN THAT STILL HAS THE OUTDOOR STORE STICKER ON IT. ANY COLOR COMBO WILL DO.
