Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

TTT (twin top tube) Zippos and Revos

Great bikes. Perfect for the person that wants to do the 'Master' conversion/retro with a parts update. There are many white and green ones out there. Would like to see more Coral.

I do enjoy seeing them stock the best though.

So let's see them all. Conversions, upgraded and stock models.

Oh.....and if there's a thread about this already, we're starting fresh here. smile

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

I'm still rockin' my '89 Master so no conversion for me...
Just my new '99 Zippo rider. Bought it stock last October. Made the drive to Cleveland for it.

The day I bought it -

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

Thanks, man. I was cracking up at the seat that came on it forever. Dude said, "Those stock seats are really uncomfortable.." ..So the original seat was the only part I didn't get with the bike.

Billy, if you're building a stock one or plan on it, hit me up. I have lots of original parts for them. Would like to help someone save another one.

I want a chrome Zippo like Kevin's but with 990 mounts. Badly. I'd hunt one down if I didn't have so many other unfinished projects that need to start getting done ASAP now that the weather is warm. Such awesome looking bikes in Chrome.

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

Here is my 1997 Revo converted to 1982/83 Freestyler tribute. I keep switching, or adding parts. I still need brakes to be complete for now. This is my daily rider. I bought F/F, stem, seat clamp from the museum and added the rest of the parts one at a time. Handlebars are Royce Union. Seat post unknown, trick top seat, AM'E cam grips, KKT pedals, Sharp Chain ring, Tioga spider. Kenda Kontact tires. GT six spoke mags. Decals from frogbmx.com.

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

I was in 8th grade from 99-00. The summer before that school year I convinced my parents to buy me a new "trick bike".  We were at Scheels and I was drooling over all the haros, i wanted a Mirra in the worst way.  But the Zippo fell into their price range  $300-$350.  I had the blue with red zippo all ready to take home, when the sales guy said he thought there might be something  stashed in the back that I might be interested in.  He disappears for a bit and comes out of the back riding an all chrome zippo.  I could have thrown that blue one across the room when I saw it.  The chrome came home with me.  I beat the hell out of that thing for years.

Somewhere around 2004/5 I traded the frame and forks to my best friend for a bike I lusted over since seeing it built in 2000.  It was a S&M Sabbath with Pitchforks.  That brings me to today, I should find out if my buddy would send that zippo back in my direction.

I like these retro's too.  Everytime I see a Revo or Zippo for sale, I think i should snag it and do a retro master but the $$ is never really there.  I would love to do one. smile

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

It's a bummer this thread had to end. I could use some help determining whether a twin top tube mid school Haro frame I have is a Zippo, Revo, or Ultra?  neutral

Re: Haro Zippo / Revo Twin Top Tube Models

Thanks for the response. I was just wondering if any of the mid school twin top tube haro guys were still getting notifications from this thread. I was going to try the mid school haro threads next. I don't think it's an Ultra. I don't think the Ultras came in yellow.

Thanks crash test, I found the info on the Haro Serial Number thread. It is a yellow 99 Zippo like I thought.
