2014 Johnny Chopper Quicksilver 26

Custom built Quicksilver tribute

         It annoyed me bitd that I grew too tall to ride my 20'' bmx,mainly my knee's hit the handlebars. Now 30+ years later I went into my local bikeshop and discovered the SE retro bikes,in particular 26'' and 29" cruisers. What annoy's me even more now is that I never knew they even existed! Australian manufacturer Quicksilver also made 24'' and 26'' cruisers bitd which would of been great if I knew about them. So rather than try and find an original  one that would more than likely be rusty and cost a fortune I got Johnny Chopper to build me one. I had the frame made with 11/8'' steerer and built it with modern day components inspired by the SE retro bikes. The photo's don't do the powder coating job justice as the colour and depth is brilliant and is even perfect between the two down tubes.

Brakes; Alhonga levers,Hi-tech cables,SE clamps and Promax calipers.
Wheels; Complete SE,Bubble Mohawk hubs and Alex DM24 rims. Kenda K-rad tyres.
Cranks; Sunday Saker,Profile BB,Porkchop spider and chainring,Salt chain.
Pedals; Snafu Anorexic.
