1979 Team Mongoose
1979 Team Mongoose
Survivor Condition
Bike is almost completely original. All I did was take it apart, clean everything real good, and put it back together. Only the tires, brake lever, and non-drive side crank arm have been replaced.
Araya 7C's with Shimano DX hubs
Shimano Dura Ace crank set
Mongoose stamped bottom bracket and head set
Mongoose stainless handlebars, unstamped
Mongoose gold stem
BMX Products stainless seat post
unstamped seat clamp
Shimano brake
Kashimax seat, (I think it's the original Mongoose suede seat that someone peeled the suede off of. You can still see the glue on the underside.)
Mongoose grips
I have the original reflectors from the wheels, I just don't have them on the bike.

Re: 1979 Team Mongoose
+1! Glad you kept it og!
Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2010 GT Ultrabox 2, 2011 Crupi race rig and prototype Quamen, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates.

Re: 1979 Team Mongoose
Gorgeous. If I could add a single 70's scoot to add to my stable, it'd be a Team 'Goose. Sweet, sweet ride.
43! Ahahahahahaha... 43.
