Hey everyone! I am glad to see mostly positive comments. This is my prototype Master that Haro made. Brett Downs, Dave Nourie and Kevin Jones also have one. Its all modern and made to ride. Mid BB, integrated headset, removeable brake mounts, etc. I love it. As with anything, it wont be the perfect bike for everyone but I think it will make a LOT of people very happy. Its definitely retro inspired and brings back those fuzzy warm memories of the mid 80s Master we all loved. But its made for today's riding with all of today's  much better technology. As of right now there is no pricing or availability news. These are just in the early prototype phase. I would suggest start squirreling away a few dollars though. wwwflatlandfuel.com will be proud to represent these in the near future.

WOW small world! I see you are from Des Moines? I live in Oskaloosa big_smile Maybe I can come by and take a first had look or ride wink of that beast!

Thanks for all the details and I will be first in line to scoop one up!!

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

I work as a sales rep for Haro. I leaked a couple of pictures of Kevin on his white one and me on my black one. We can't get into specific details because these prototypes are just being ridden and with winter in the say, riding time is cut back. Also, my job is to sell what Haro makes, not what they might make down the road. If you take a look at flatlandfuel's facebook page you will see me doing a decent air on mine. It feels good for flatland and was more stable in the skatepark than any flatland bike I've had in over ten years.

Please check out the Haro LaBastille frames that are coming out at the end of the month. They are in three sizes, short rear end and great for flat or modern street.  The Haro Lineage frames are great ramp, trail, street bikes with a geometry for going big. All I can tell you about the geometry of this Master is that it's unique. You won't find another bike like it on the market. That was a conscious decision. It's a Freestyle bike.

I can see in a way why they dont like it; style/design. With such a small size, 25t ish sprockets are lacking in design. You will never get a piece like a GT Overdrive Lite. Freakin TSC Screamin Skulls LOL.

Now dont get me as a NS hater, I'm a mid-school dude, but I have 2 NS bikes, and even converted a MS bike into 25/9. I also want a 2015 retro Condor so I CAN run 25t on it, as opposed to my 96 where I will have to run bigger.

Collection Complete. If you want to see my actual bikes http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=633623. I stopped adding to MY BIKES because of hassle of uploading

HuffyRider87 claims I'm a 'seathole' because he low-balled me on a bike, claiming its worth nothing and 'just a Huffy' and I told his ass whats up. Just a Huffy you wanted, and dont have. LOL.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

I'm big collector of midschool Haros, 1990-2005.  I'm so glad to see the guys at Haro responding to whats being said both forums and in the parks.  For instance,  the vector repops quil sizes were fixed,  they listened,  now there listening to actual riders like BITD!  LOVE IT!  This is Haros big come back in my opinion!

After rocking Masters for years, I thought I'd never ride a 20" top tube...then I got used to the Zippo...Hopefully, it's 20"...Or better yet - The make 19" and 20" TT models.

Then explain the Mike D tribute bike lol  The 24 and 26 Masters??????  They are more than happy to cater to the collector/ non rider crowd if it makes money.  But they do also seem to be attempting to cater to the new school riders who want just a taste of nostalgia with the Lineage and this new Master frame.

If you want a bike with the 44/16, you can get a Sport frame set or complete from Flatlandfuel.com or planetbmx.com.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

I really really hope it's available with a 21" top tube.

Rest of it looks perfect!  If it's 21" I'll buy at least 2.

Any news on if the red Blyther FST is all new or just a simple repaint of the Mike D Sport?

Yeah, but those are Sports, we want a Master with 44/16. The small sprockets just don't look right. mad

Well, this isn't a replica bike. It's a modern day rider with a throwback look. Like the Lineage. You want a different bike. With John steering the ship anything could happen.

Retro bikes are really tricky because people always complain.  It's too old school.  It's too new school.  It's not what I want.  I've worked for two BMX brands and it's frustrating because no matter how much effort and passion gets put into a project. It's never going to be right for everyone.

DANG!  After lurking for a while, I *finally* pulled the trigger on a 2014 Freestyler (just the F&F for now); it arrived yesterday.  I was going to piece it together and build it with my son....then I stumble across this thread.....STOKED to see this happening!
