Awesome!

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. smile

Re: BMX & VW's, post them up

When it comes to VW's, I'm moving backwards. I started with a '04 R32, then had a '84 Rabbit for a while. I eventually sold both of those and bought a '58 Beetle.

Nope! '57 last year for oval window, '58 first year big rear window. The blue bug posted above. is not an oval. (I posted my VW's in the other "VW's and BMX" tread already.)

When I find a part i need for something I am putting together and I have no trust as to weather the part is 30 years old or 30 days old and I'm being charged a price on par with the real genuine and true item. I not only have to question the logic of people with your mind set but the state of the whole hobby in general. That is more to the point why so many people that knew better just walked away. Because they stopped being "OLD" kids bikes and are just kids bikes. Where in all that does the bullshit really lay?

Unfortunately, no. '58 is when they went to the larger window.

I'm loving this thread! So many great Vee Dubs! I'll have to get a pic of my 2002 Golf on here. The Mk.4 Golf is my fave. I've owned two. The first one was a '97 Trek edition. Great rides, guys.

Nice photos on this page too smile

Lillarae the bug is so good, but something about the mk1 golf that I love.  Perfect shape.

The mk2 I posted on the last page was a dec 84 build, personal import into Aust in 1990.  It's factory rhd but has the window wipers still setup for lhd.  Was a 4 speed manual, 1600 GT model smile

Fun car.  No air or power steering.
