1983 National Sport Wheels

I found this on Craigslist when I went to look at a Diamondback the same seller was selling. I liked the fact that it was something different, and I liked the tear drop shaped tubing on the frame and forks. The head tube badge is really cool. I am pretty sure the frame is an Akisu built frame, as it has really nice TIG welds. I have seen one other like it on the web, and the other one was an '83, so I am guessing this one was as well. From what I gather, NSW was out of Passaic, New Jersey. Everything with the exception of the handlebars, grips and tires are original to this bike. I took this one apart, gave it an oxy bath and cleaned everything up really nice. This bike rides super nice. I am sure this bike was sold at department stores BITD, but it looks good parked next to my Huffy, and Blue Max.
