Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..
strange that everyone on here has a car thats been modified, we should have a meet on a drag strip sometime. kind of like pinks, only winner gets a bike from the loser, hey caleb, get one of your hutch's ready for me
No offense to all the late-model, hatchback mods but I would like my chances at landing a couple of new bikes.

Pretty bold statement there what are your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times BTW?
Isn't a stock Mitsubishi Galant GTZ 0-60 time around 9 seconds or so?The other cars you own in stock form are likely above 7 seconds as well?Quick but not exactly scorchers by any means.....
T-Night hasn't posted here he has a really nice 93 RX-7........Really fast car BTW....Too bad it is in pieces right now on his garage floor......
I beat a newer 4.6 Mustang GT with my little 4 cylinder Scirocco......Actually blew the guys doors off ........
I also have that 1970 454 SS Chevelle clone in the garage and though it is a fun car to drive it really isn't that fast compared to many newer hot imports.......

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..
Sorry above post should have read around seven seconds when referring to the 0-60 times.
A 1970 455 GTO 1/4 mile time is about 15.0 seconds with a 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds.

Oh man. Now I miss drag racing! Dadgummit! That 440 I have that was in my old `68 Coronet used to be in a `77 longwheel base Dodge D100. I took it to the strip in Gainesville (home of the Gatornationals) and turned a 14.7 quarter. Can`t remember the 60 foot times. They sucked, thats about all I remember.
That thing had a 280 Purple shaft cam, closed chamber 516 heads, single plane intake, 750 vac sec, orange box and a homemade cool can. 2600 stall, 3.91:1 rear w/suregrip. Man what a blast to drive. It ate 5.0 ponies all day and night.

My Galant is stock. I'm not about to modify a vehicle that is still under warranty. My Grand Prix is all original and stock but the GTO is far from stock. The Goat runs low 11's in the 1/4 mile. As for your Chevelle, that thing can be a powerhouse. My brother's 1970 SS ran 0-6 at around 4.8 seconds. I'm just partial to the old muscle cars myself. My friend has a 1994 Honda Prelude that can run with my GTO but I prefer the sounds and the feeling of the muscle car.
PS - I'm not sure why you think my statement was bold. Do you doubt that I would be winning some bikes? I never said that nobody could beat me but I'm damn sure I'll win more races than I lose.

lmao..ford versus chevy. you never put those picstures of your engine..i had a s-10 with a small block 350 when i was 18, i miss the power, but not the sh@tty gas milage and lack of traction in the rain. my little car doesnt stop at 60, right around 160 actually.
when i see a mongoose at walmart, i try and picture the metal being used to make something more useful, like a frying pan, or maybe some clothes hangers...oh well...its out of my hands.
my bikes are tri-moly. that means i have 3 times more chromo than you..haha

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..
i wont speak on whats done to my little focus, ask turbo tom in virginia.. my last ride (the one that sucked up my savings) was a 92 eclipse gsx with the 4g63 block stroked, i was running 26psi through it with a stock bottom end, and it held up,everything else was replaced. had it dynoed but never saw a track with the final setup, dynoed at 596whp at 28psi, had a 100 shot nos wet setup but went through 3 tranny's before it ever saw any juice, couldnt afford it anymore so it went bye bye. my guess was low 11's to high 10's with slicks on all four corners. cant go back to that now, all my money goes to this now.

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..
Dang, wished I`d had the cheese to have bought by bro-n-laws `90 Mustang. 351 Windsor, Dart heads, NOS fogger, etc... the list went for awhile. Hi 9`s low 10`s.
I know you guys know "The Fast and The Furious". Okay, the next time you watch that flick, when they get to the part where Vin shows wats his face the `70 Charger and they`re talking, there is a model on the wall shelf, it`s yellow with the bumble bee stripe. That would be a 1/18th version of my (not any more tho) `68 Coronet. Sorry , had to put that in here somewhere.

I`m with ya Hutch on the American muscle. Nothing like the sound of a cammed up push rod V-8 to get my blood moving thru the veins. The firing order on a GM and Dodge have a very beautiful tone to `em. Fords seem lost to me. Dunno
