2001 Haro Group 1 SR 2.0 24

2001 Y2 Blue/Scotch Brite Haro Group 1 SR 2.0 24" Cruiser Restomod...

I built this cruiser for my oldest son for Christmas. He has been wanting something larger than his 20 inch T-Bone Prime, and always really liked the way I set up my cruisers. So after my wife asked, I finally built him this one for Christmas. As usual, I started with a rough; rusty, scratched up, oxidized, left in the sun & rain bike that hadn't been taken care of since???? After restoring the parts I was going to use and getting a few parts here and there. I received the box in the mail I was waiting on. I now had all the new parts I needed; 24"Skyway Retro Tuff Wheels, 24x1.75 Comp III's, Shadow Conspiracy axle nuts, ODI grips, MCS seat, Tektro Brake kit, Fox Racing padset, and new decals. It turned out pretty nice. (When purchasing alloy axle nuts for Skyways, keep in mind Skyway may use either of two different size axles for the rear. Most likely the alloy nuts will need to be re-threaded to match the rear Skyway axle).
Gone to a new home . . .

Not bad.  It looks pretty good with the tuffs.  It's cool to see another one around here.  I really enjoyed mine and I'm sure that your son will too.

Cool, a new bike.  Wait a minute.......where am I going to hide this one.  She's going to catch me...

Wanted: 90 Holmes f/f decals, Odyssey parts in vapor blue

Thanks mann... If I remember correctly, I got my first pair of Skyways in 83 sconnd handed with a  damn Bendex break. " THE UNBREAKABLE WHEELS". I've loved Skyways ever since.  Back then, every other back wheel turned into mexican food.   big_smile

That's right - the Skyway's usually run a 24tpi rear axle, instead of the more usual 28. Definitely a trap for the unwary!
