Real nice. Almost the exact same brake system as my mongoose decade.

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
one could framestand for miles on these bikes (i did it once...). but those fork dropouts (Ouch!) can really dig into one's shoes/feet if one chooses to run axle pegs up front. awesome bkes:D. miss mine ( a little)
all i can use is.... 80s stem [cheap], cruiser bars [cheap], wheels decent with maybe female axles; a 2013 WTP atlas; cheap steel-frame 24" race bike ; 14" wheel scooter; axle nuts or Primo jewels; a 630mm reach rear caliper brake

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
One of my favorite bikes. I'd trade my freeform pro any day for a shot at building a decent one of those.

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
I may have a biased opinion - probably one of the finest BMX Freestyle Bikes ever!
I just pulled mine from the salt air for a restoration project. It's now soaking in an oxalic acid bath.
Looking forward to riding soon.

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
Here is a sneak peak. I completed the re-build last weekend, but I need to take some "after" photos.
This was my spare bike from the tail end of my days with Schwinn. I sold my tour bike after my last show at RAF Mildenhall, UK. This is an exact build of my tour bike with the exception of white Flight cranks rather than chrome.
Coaster brake, of course!

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
Just submitted my bike. Waiting for approval from the forum.
Here's a before and after teaser.
Just like ol' times. Hopped on and jumped to a frame stand and coasted all the way down the street. Two of my kids were a bit surprised, "Dad, be careful."
lol

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
Your a Pro, tell them not to worry about Dad Looks like the chrome shined up nicely. It'd be nice if you could get decals for it.

Re: 1989 Schwinn Predator Flatland Pro
Yes. Decals would be great. I also need a set of chrome Flight cranks. This was my spare bike that always had painted 401's from my old Streetbeat. The paint is in bad shape.
But my bar extender strapped to my leather seat with pipe clamps is still going strong!
