Have a question for those who might know?  I own many peregrine bars and other parts that are welded,  I notice the most welds are very sloppy or a bar not straight or slightly off.  Any idea why or what happen to their quality control department?

thats every peregrine bar ever made.
peregrine never really had a quality control department, i dont think they even had a jig when welded.  they had a few riders suggest ideas and design a few parts then the suits at teel inc. would pick up the phone and cut a check to whatever company would make their part (of varying degree of craftsmanship or poorly designed part) or would just throw their decal on whatever.

I heard they were pretty much a idea rider based parts company as well.  Interesting idea about them not having a jig.  You maybe on to something there!smile

I have a set on one of my bikes as well.  they flex like the old school K9 brake from BITD.  They to were a flat styled brake arm,  less the holes or cutouts like the peregrines.

Nice stuff here. Were any of you guys around back in 2004-2005 when all those NOS LePaige framesets hit ebay for $65 each? I should have bought every. single. one.
I was so stupid.

Re: Peregrine Owners Appreciation Thread - Show Your Stuff!!!

Wasn't in the game yet. I would have been happy with just one of them.

If I see another one, I will let you know. I have seen only one set - and I scooped them up straight away. I think they are supposed to be MTB brakes, and that is why they are so rare. They were also originally purple, but have severely faded, but I don't care, they are stupid cool Just before Peregrine filed for bankruptcy, they were trying to break into the MTB scene. This is evident by some of the parts I have seen and purchased, with that said many of the parts are scarce and without a catalog, we may never know the extent of what they made (or branded). If anyone can add to that, please jump in.

I wish! I don't even look for it. Some stuff I just leave alone for sanity sakes.

Haha I hear ha.
I had contacted a local bike builder and sent him that pic about making one. He told me he would talk to his biz partner and come up with a price, that was over 4mo ago. Seems like people don't wanna make money neutral

Re: Peregrine Owners Appreciation Thread - Show Your Stuff!!!

Guys,

This may or may not sound like a dumb idea, but is Alun still in business? That is definitely an Alnun frame. Maybe we can get them to make it again???
