Designed in the US, not made ... Just like redline was designed in the US but made in Japan by 79 - GT by 84 - SE by 90 - Hutch by 84 - DB since forever and on and in an on

Re: Race Tech: to build or not to build.

I wouldn't build that. Plenty of nice survivor stuff to build and ride.

Re: Race Tech: to build or not to build.

ol'phart - that BMX Plus! page doesn't start discussing the Race Tech until the 4th paragraph. Right under the heading 'THE RACE TECH FRAME' in bold. The top 3 paragraphs are referring to some other bike, probably seen on page 41.

A few years ago my brother in law received two frames & parts to build them up from a guy who rode for RaceTech. One of each, Race & Freestyle. In our research, we came across a few local guys who knew about them, Including the guy who designed the Freestyle frame. Trust me, they were made in the USA. St. Cloud, MN

Duh - I stand corrected - I will officially be renaming myself .....
"Brain Phart"

I never even absorbed that - just wrote them off, after seeing Taiwan in the same insert. And I even spoke quite often with Tom back when he was building his.

ESP stem and a nice set of Redline 401 with a Hadley BB.  Completely survivor, he bought it from the original owner and a second frame to boot.... Can't remember the forks, ask Tom
