2000 Cheeta TeamLine

Can a raw Cheeta ROAR ?

Having always liked these mid-school Cheetas, I decided to raw this one out.
The surface is like brush-finished aluminum, very reminiscent of a World War II-era bomber aircraft's fuselage,
at least that's what it reminds me of.
I love the look of the exposed welds, the milled seatstays and the fabricated chainstays.
Anyways, enough of that - here are some specs:
RAW-ed out:Cheeta frame
ANSWER Mag forks (you can see the slight difference in color between the fork legs which are mag, and the crown which is aluminum).
BLACK-ed out:FSA Afterburner cranks
FSA headset
Woodman Spikey+ shin-rippers  (they look like big cheetah feet !)
UNI carbon post-ed seat
Redline Forklifters
MAGURA  HS33 hydraulic brakes
FMF chainring
ANSWER Drive rims (these came from Fatboy, an awesome member on here... thanks buddy!)
GT Rhythm  h-u-g-e hubs.... you need h-u-g-e hubs for them to standout from behind these fat forks & the super-beefy milled & fabbed Cheeta rear end !!!
YESS chain tensioner
MAXXIS Holy Rollers (from standout BMXmuseum member cbr900rr.... thanks buddy!)
Deep Orange Ano:
FUNN adjustable stem
nips
chainring bolts
cnc-d seat clamp

Very cool bike. I have a few Cheetas myself and have always been a fan of them. I like your component choices for this build as well. Nice job!

Re: 2000 Cheeta TeamLine

Another spot on ride 7075....fast standing still...rad components...raw finish rocks. That finish reminds me of why I was thinking of going that same route with my 98 Torker project. I have a 2003 Cheeta Teamline ProXL ride in the works right now too. Nice job Bro!!

Cheers, LABMX!
Would love to see pix of your Cheeta pride, and in general some more Cheeta's on these pages big_smile
I wanted to build a tough looking bike, and when I raw-ed this Cheeta frame during this build, and saw how nice it turned out,
I knew it had to stay looking that way.

Thanks very much, Grungeraman cool
As beefy as it looks, this Cheeta is still pretty light, and so goes and jumps nice!
I'm looking forward to seeing your raw-ed out '98 Torker build, and also the '03 Cheeta, buddy.
As I said before, we need to see more Cheetas on the 'museum.
The '03 Cheeta - that's the later style frame, right?
I love them as much as these earlier Cheetas, sometimes I can't decide which shape is nicer.
I've got another Cheeta build coming up soon, and you could say that one will be raw too... kinda smile
LOL!
But I definitely agree.... raw ROCKS !!!

Cheers, Troy!
You've had a few Cheeta's too, I'm guessing?
They're a great riding bike, and great looking too.

Re: 2000 Cheeta TeamLine

Yessir, long gone.  Perhaps my 24" can serve as a substitute.  BTW, I see that you're on the hunt for a Cane Creek seat.  Forgive me, but I must tease you for a moment with a certain saddle that can be found on my Kappa Adidas...tongue

I almost most moved on a set of CC wheels a couple of months ago, but let them go so that I could pick up my grail MTB.  I also dig the padsets.  CC accessories are so cool!

Anything that CC make is ultra cool & quality made!
The seat I have (matching the padset), is the blue & white & black stripey one, but your saddle is ultra cool too.
Now, CC wheels.... wow - are they works of art or what ??!! big_smile
