Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
I've got a Pro Racer that probably isn't going to get started anytime soon.
I just bought another Auburn in the last hour, so I'll jump on that once I get my Super Stock done-it doesn't need much.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
I have no old school projects (yet), so I'm working on this '97 Schwinn HydraGlide (already had an oxy/acid bath):
Still need XS Pro pedals, era-correct Schwinn seat, 3/8" - 48h front wheel with silver hub (preferrably Schwinn), gold or chrome chain, DiaComp 990 U-brakes, DiaComp Tech 77 levers, some Schwinn grips, Gyro cables, and tires & tubes. Anyone know what sort of tires would've come on this bike?
With my [very meager] budget, it'll likely be a while before it's completely restored.
In the meantime, I'm also working on a Haro TR2.2... frame is stripped and almost ready for primer. I think it'll be "Lime Ice" lacquer with wet-sanded clear coat. Then probably black and chrome/polished parts. I'll post pics as this one progresses.
Nothing much, but I'm having fun anyway
Fred B.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

I purchased a red '97 HydraGlide back in the day...still looking for one to rebuild. The stock tire was an all black "Hucker". Search for "XS Hucker" right now on eBay and you can easily pick up a pair. If you hurry there is a brand new set of XS silver 1/2" pro pedals for sale right now on eBay! Better than the stock pedals the "Glide" came with.
The stock seat actually wasn't labeled Schwinn or XS. It was a generic, black, thinly padded seat. I could probably look through some of my old pictures or at least sketch it from memory. And you probably know but just in case these bikes came with SST Oryg detanglers.
Cool bike, keep posting the updates, lemme know if you wanna sell or trade it.

Thanks for the info, bro! That's me on the high-bid for the XS Pro pedals I may get outbid though.
As for the tires, I caved today and bought a brand new pair of 85psi Specialized street tires for it. So those won't be original, but at least I know what to look for in the future. I also picked up new Gyro cables while I was there.
I'm not super attached to the HydraGlide -- I generally prefer race bikes to freestyle bikes -- but I love the full 4130 cromo and the chrome-plating is in really nice shape, so I'm kind of excited about building it. For the right alternate project though, I'd surely give consideration. But the 'Glide may be worth more to me than anyone else
Hey, nice Jay Miron HydraMatic, btw.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
Well I last posted less than two weeks ago, but it's funny how a few successful ebay auctions will change your plans.
I finally scored a pair of chrome kneesaver 2k handle bars. I love those bars and decided to take the Mirra Pro Kneesavers off of my 04 Mirra pro . The 2k's are so light and have a great bend. They are now on my ramp bikes (My Haro o4 mirra and the hoffman condor.)
Put the Fly Pantera bars on my Forum. Then scored a premium lite front wheel. I'm going to take the rhino light 36 off of my Forum and put it on my 04 Mirra. I like the 36-48 combo for ramps. I then scored a premium pivoytal seat and seat post for the 04 Mirra. It is now around 27 pounds. It was always a great bike; a revision of my favorite bike of all time the Blammo.but now its feather weight and superstrength are great.
Meanwhile the Forum is down under 25 lbs. weighing in at an unebelievable (TO ME) 24lbs. 11oz.
I did score a Haro Lite 1 1/8 threadless fork for my aforementioned bashguard sport. 3 piece cranks and some GT DX pedals will be the next thing For the Sport.
I also have to finish the o1 Mirra I plan to "give" to my brother. 3 piece cranks, pedals, seat.
It never ends. I have ahuge pile of parts from the stock completes I have bought over the years. i could probabaly construct another 3 complete bikes from cast off parts. Ugh!
EDIT: I almost forgot my experiments with eastern plastic pedals. I drilled holes in them and used Quik steel to set metal traction pins in the pedals. At 7 oz.s They will lower the weight some more of one of my babies.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
Got a couple of projects going... Recent Project for my little brother who always wanted my pink PFT... I am building him a retro copy with mostly original parts. He asked for Red and black and I am adding the apropriate amount of chrome... Bars and Seatpost are at the chromers, they will be two toned. Waiting on proper decal set, Black Chainring (bad seller drama), black seat, and brake pads. Good thing nobody bought those black tires... Cause I need them now... All work including paint was done myself... Done in a few weeks depending on chromer and parts showing up. Stupid black chainring!!! LOL
Team Mongoose GT Fusion Project
My first Real bike given to me by a guy who raced it... Green frame I am getting ready to blast and paint white. I have all the parts I need... Mostly GT and the Original custom Blue Nippled Araya 7's that were on it when I got it. This started as a lake jump project and because of my perfectionist nature became a Resto build... Superlaces are an extra set right now that need spokes. Going to put them on the purple bike in "my bikes"...
The Pink Frame is My 87 PFT... Had it since DEC 87 Christmas. All parts are ready to go for it including NOS decals (not AJK) but I have not put it together yet because I am torn about repowdering it a color that is not the same... These Superlaces are NOS Never mounted... I am going to put the mags back on this bike...
