Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
Filled tub up with 1 inch of water, put in tire, sprayed the sidewall with bleche-white and used toothbrush gently. Then quickly rinsed with the tub water and more water from spout. Did this twice on both sides.

+1 this stuff works great on all kinds of things! Shoes, purses… tires.. I always have a bottle around and am shocked with how much I use it.

The grips were really manky and stuck. Got that off, next up some chrome polish.

Nope, oddly enough they are very light. Rise? quite low. I would say 7.5? maybe 8 tops?
Edit. Yup, 8". Which at that time was quite high, given the Hoffman Jumping bars were something stupid like 5.5 or 6".

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
I had to work on my toilet 2 weeks ago for that issue. I replaced the flapper thinking that was the problem. Nope. Then noticed the filler tube riser plastic was super brittle. I barely touched it snd the whole thing snapped off at the base. There has been a crack getting larger and larger so instead of replacing the tube I went all out and replaced the whole damned toilet. $138 American Standard works great! I found a date stamp for the old one of 1980. It was time lol.
What I’m selling: https://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/search?user=2547

Nothing, just don’t want the four usable parts to go to waste.
