Ordered me a nice printer earlier, no more getting butt screwed for decals.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Maybe? It all depends tbh. I mean, if I charged you the time it took you would be looking at a big bill. That took me about ten hours.

If it's something I like though? I wouldn't charge... It's a very grey area mate tbh. Firstly they are not mine to sell, and secondly like I said judged on time it would be unfeasible. When guys draw stuff like that (having stolen it, basically*) they do so to sell untold sets of decals to make money. I'm not into that. I get what I need.

* I learned how to draw on computers many years ago. 2001? IIRC?. I used to be a part of an emulation scene drawing and coding front ends for British slot machines. The emulator would run the rom, from there on end the entire visual part had to be drawn and coded to tie into the program rom. Due to this there were numerous copyright issues, so the scene as a whole contributed photos, flyers etc. Some could be used as is, many were so old and grainy they had to be totally drawn by hand. That is how I learned to draw. I can't draw for shit with a pen and paper, but give me a mouse?

So yeah. The BMX scene pisses me off, because it doesn't have that core sentiment. It's all about money money money. With the coding scene it is about sharing, and historical archives. Which it 100% should be in BMX but capitalism eh?

I was just asking because there are a ton of midschool decals that are impossible to find that haven’t had the artwork preserved and its kind of a shame to have certain decal graphics lost to time.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

All it takes is a few decent photos. People are just lazy, and too "I'm alright Jack" these days.

Find a group on Facebook or something, and just hope the people there are like the people on the Metal FB. Because these took me about two hours thanks to guys having the decals and being nice about it.

https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/41840/104823569_754605915277690_8365434753361829388_o5eff96f6235f25a38075.jpg

Like I said via PM, the better and clearer the photos the faster they can be drawn and traced.

1981 Rampar R10

Picked this up awhile back along with some other stuff.  Needed some tires and a couple other things.  Repacked the bearings, etc. Cool little survivor.
