I had a crew install sheetrock, do the whole job start to finish, ready for prime. They used a method with wet sponges, in short no mess / dust at all.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

I picked up a faded blue set of Ukai wheels and sweet blue SR hubs (with a 5 speed cog on the rear) from the museum. Removed the 5 speed, re-laced the wheel set and added Shimano 18 to the rear. Now just need to add a brake.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Just finished hanging the door in my daughters new room. This room was a laundry room. I Converted it back into a bedroom. I built the door frame from the free white oak I got from earlier in the year. I got about 15 of these doors free and my wife refinished it and just polyurethaned it. I think these doors are cherry wood because it’s a different hue from the jam but the same poly. I scraped the popcorn off the ceiling then sanded it, then I skim coated the walls cause they were textured. Then I removed the old furnace, built a closet where the old furnace was, relocated the door from the center of the wall to the corner. I caped off the plumbing lines in the crawl space and and capped the drain for the washer. Then I filled in the dryer vent that went outside. Then I removed the linoleum, patched the hole in the floor where the furnace was, laid the carpet tacks, padding, painted the ceiling, layer the carpet, then painted the walls. Now I have to install the closet door, trim out the window and door, do baseboard, vent cover, new outlets and covers, new light switch and ceiling light and I am done. Hoping to do this before the baby comes. http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/82308/a321a7fd-87c5-4db4-8f92-e85f4a81e33e5df2f524da.jpeg

I learned how to wet sponge in the navy. I prefer sanding. The better taping job you do the less sanding you have to do. I used to be a union taper.

How did you do the lighted crown moldings? I was thinking of doing that in my man cave.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Trying to decide whether to set fire to these Tuffs, or the tires, or both, or launch them from my balcony (probably much to the chagrin of my neighbors).

I ran rope light (led) behind the crown and hung the crown about an inch off the cieling.

Rope light 50 bucks 100ft from ebay

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Tear down, clean up. Ran into the unusual and dreaded OPC with sealed bearing cartridges...little research, some patience and some force and got everything apart with no collateral damage.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Made this for for door and window casing. I was looking for a non traditional look so I busted out the router and the bits and this was the combo my wife and I liked the best. I haven’t used my Dewalt and craftsman routers in years and ran 2 passes with the floating panel router and it took a crap! Good I wanted a new router anyway! tongue http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/82308/dafd2ced-92c4-4f70-b5f7-d09d1f3fb61c5df6c7a850.jpeg

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Picked this up yesterday for 48.05
Got the motor running today as it was advertised that the motor was “broken”.
Turns out it was just needed some WD-40 on a carb adjustment.

Now that it’s up and running this is gonna rip. Just need a chain and tires and a seat.

Thinking one of them old school desk chair seats.
