I have everything needed to build it -- including Auburn fork, CR Bars, and Pitbull brakes.  It really deserves a new paint job, though, right? hmm

No, dont change the OG purple; I love that color smile

I'm on the fence with the paint.  The purple is one of my fraternity's colors (purple and gold -- Omega Psi Phi), and I think it's the original paint.  I think it at least needs to be cleaned up.

Thanks for the comments. cool

yeah that defintely looks like the OG color just clean it up a bit cool It looks super sweet,

I just say dont paint the OG color because I am looking for same RX frame in purple and they seem hard to find --  if you are to paint it I rather buy that frame from you and have u do it too a green frame which seem to be much more common smile but that is just in my fairyland world of dreams big_smile

I had a Chrome one from that same time period.  Like a dummy, I sold it.  I'd say keep it Chrome.  I didn't even think they offered the Green until '90 or later.

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike.  It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996.  It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame.  Pitchforks, Slam bars, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks.  Superlace hubs.  Would really love to put this back in my collection.

Re: The official Auburn Thread!

Has anyone reproduced the decals for these? I wonder if pacific cycles bought the rights to Auburn when they bought GT?
It would be a fun brand to bring back eh?
Has anyone seen the Volume Bikes auburn tribute bike?
Awesome graphics anyhow!!

RJ20R
http://donkey.fatcow.com/bmx/wp-content/uploads/Frame_volume_rj20r1.jpg
FEATURES:

Biz’s new RJ20R pays homage to the Auburn CR20R frame. For all you ol’ guys that even remember the popular frame that GT made from the early nineties. Biz’s number one concern on the RJ was to refine what was missing in his previous frame, the 781. Smaller dropouts, hour glass HT and BB shell and a cleaner/ smaller seat clamp area. Simple frame that’s just as straight forward as Biz himself. Made from full 4130 CRMO/ Heat Treated Sanko tubing.

Ohh, and I still need a 24" Auburn for the bmxmusuem!!

Re: The official Auburn Thread!

GAry that Volume looks amazing!! i would buy one just because of the colors

looking into it now

*edit* so i looked at it more and it looks pretty awesome in the green... wish they would've done it somehow in a two piece frame.... decals are rad though

also, i would trade every bike i have for an Auburn CR24!
