2005 GT Power Series Ultra Box

I had been planning for several years to build an Ultrabox with old, mid and new school GT components but never went beyond collecting the parts. When this frame came up in the For Sale forum I realized it was what I was looking for - my missing link.
This is a custom build GT Ultrabox based on a 2005 frame powder coated in yellow and stamped with 80's decals (including 1982 Nora cup).
Components are GT Stilleto forks, GT Bars, GT Piston XL stem, Oddyssey Gedda grips, TRP Magnesium brake lever, Shimano Deroe LX brakes, Spins Carbon 20x1.75 wheels, Profile 180mm cranks with euro BB, FMF Pro pedals, SDG I-Beam seatpost and I-Fly seat, Hope seat clamp, Primo Dirt Monster tires.

Re: 2005 GT Power Series Ultra Box

Thanks for the comments! - I'm in the process of updating it: polished stem and black GT rhythm wheels. The bike is really stiff with the spin wheels, and I need some flex to protect my elbows and knees when riding it in the street!

Awesome looking racer man. Makes me want to build one.

The only logical excuse I can think of for the brakeless crowd would be " natural selection "....now that makes sense.

Re: 2005 GT Power Series Ultra Box

Awesome build, love the mix of old, mid and new school parts.  Still looking for my ultrabox xl frame while collecting my own mixed-school component set...going for a very clean look like yours.

Very nice, unique build!  Don't see many in yellow that's for sure, but you have pulled it off nicely!
