Had both and sold both.

Profile Cruiser bars

as Adam mentioned-Profile cruiser bars-currently know of 5 or 6 sets
GJS bars-I have seen 1 set

Re: top 10 most rare handlebars.

I would say the ones I sold to a guy in Australia they are in reference section they were recalled by odyssey they are the original flying wedge bars that didn't have a cross member brace.

Would like lots of bikes but the SE Hauler is one that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Anyone got one?

Don't own the bike anymore, but Cook Bros Racing pit bike bars have to be pretty rare.

I'll take a shot at it. The sticker? Weren't the earlier bars out of Santa Ana?

Very close. Anaheim was where GT was located BEFORE Santa Ana, Huntington Beach was after Santa Ana. They moved from Anaheim in early 1980 so these are the very earliest style GT Pro bars. They are a little narrower (27") and have a touch more sweep than early Santa Ana bars. They are also a touch narrower at the bottom. The coin decal also says Anaheim, CA.

Black Chrome GT bars are also pretty rare. I have a set of expert sized BC bars with the decals in black background rather than chrome to match the black bars.

The yellow outline on the lettering is also an indicator. On 81` and earlier bars like you have the yellow outline thinckness is inconsistent. In 1982 GT changed the logo and made the yellow outline the same thickness around the whole letter. wink

Cool info! Thanks. Never noticed that before.

I use 80-82 GT Pro bars on all my builds so I have about 7 or 8 pair including another pair of Anaheim. I'll definitely check that outline thickness thing out. If I get inspired I'll take some side by side comparison pics of the early bars to show the slight differences between the '80, '81 and '82 bars including the outline of the lettering as you mentioned.

BTW, and this is gonna sound like I'm trolling, but why are 2-piece bars considered rare?

Re: top 10 most rare handlebars.

Here`s another I`ve got sitting in a box , this is the 1st set of Standard Strip Bars ever made prototype #001. I purchased these directly from Rick Moliterno and they are still raw with no finished they`ve never been painted.

Heres a perfect pic I found of my 81 GT against a 82 GT sticker , see the difference in the yellow outline ? every 81 I`ve ever seen with original decals has this style.http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af5/suicidepan/DSCF4696.jpg
