Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

First post...turned 40 in March I quit around 87-88..I had a few haros back then... My whole life BMX from age 5-14..Then I found women and drinking...I knew everything about bikes back then(can't believe I can't remember shit now) .. About a week ago I decided to look and see if I could find a old Haro sport or master... I started looking at the pictures and fell in love again.. Long story short, I lost my mind and bought 4 1/2 haros in a week.. Waiting for them to be shipped and I'll begin trying to see if I can even still remember how to ride a bike.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

nice thread. I turned 40 in May. Shit is definitely hard getting back into after a 18 year lay off. got back in in early 2011. Basically learning FLAT from square 1 again... but slowly getting there.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Late last year I started jumping again (at age 39) after not leaving the ground in over 17 years. Still have a blown ACL and shoulder problems but I felt it was time to get back to my roots and let out the inner "Maddog". smile

Started racing again late last year.  Now I'm 41.  I raced some in the late 80's.  Now I'm enjoying racing with my son.

I'm one win away from turning intermediate!

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

First post on the forums!  I'm 42 years old and just bought my first bmx in about 20 years.  Let up on riding about 10 years ago and have been mostly skating which I found easier on my body.  But being back on the bmx is sooo much fun I have to ration it out or I will destroy myself.  Mainly feeling it in the lower back right now but hopefully my body will adjust quickly!

OTB!! I have nothing against your bike at all. It just pains me to see your knees SO close to your wrists when we ride. Bigger top tube would make it more comfortable of a ride.

WANTED:
The crate the Hutch HPV Prototype was shipped in. Who has it?? PM me
Hutch Purple Reign parts: Hi-Caliber brakes, and Chain!!!!

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Gave up BMX in 86 when I found cars and girls.  Now I am 45 and getting back into BMX because of girls.  I have a 4y and 5y old who just started racing.  I spent most of my adult life on mountain bikes so 20" feel a little small.  But seeing that robinson bunny hops give me hope because I am a larger rider.
