Haven't pulled this first combo in probably 3-4 years. Really felt good to get it tonight!

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Well, it took a month for my leg injury to heal and in that time I ended up building up my spare frame into a park bike!

I've been riding down to the local park early in the morning so I can get a little time in being really horrible before people actually get there and see how horrible I am.

I was never a park rider, always flatland. Hell, we didn't even have local parks twenty years ago. Last time I was in a park was at Woodward in the 90's.

Anyway, really enjoying the morning exercise that is actually fun!

Just a photo of the bike at the local park this morning at 8am, because I'm really horrible and you wouldn't want to see boring footage. Hopefully, I can get some video soon. smile

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Fun day at the pump track today. Decided to make a jump out of one of the berms. Think outside the box and see things different. You’ll be surprised at what you can find. https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/2313/a1966705-ef94-4c80-a6e7-c2b6e529e97f5f3203ea98.jpeg

Maplewood, North Jersey.

It's super small but it's a 5 minute bike ride from my house and I suck at park anyway so it's perfect. smile

There are much bigger ones around that I will graduate myself to soon this year.

Cool. Im in eastern PA and currently furloughed so Im looking for places that are semi-close by. We have some really big time trails around(posh/catty woods) that Im working up to so I stay at the park. But Im getting much better and starting to see lines in the park that I never saw before.https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/8158/20200807_2005595f329a6dc0.jpg

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

I haven't posted here for a while but thought I'd share this. Yesterday was my birthday so I released this video of moments from the past year that made me smile. It's a sample of my riding but surely not all. Hope you like it.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Rode for a couple of hours at a larger skatepark about 20 mins drive away. So much fun.

I'll try and get actual footage of me being horrible but having fun this weekend. smile

Hey, that place I posted is in eastern pa. if you wanna take a ride.
If youre looking for an uber fun place to work on your bike skills with low chances of death, this pump track is cross bred with a skatepark. It gets crowded though. But worth the trip....Ive been there 3 days in a row.neutral

Just went there couple weekends ago, definitely a cool pump track. Hour and a half trip one way for me, but worth it.

Cool. I love that place. It took me a while to see all the possibilities but the way you can transfer and up and out of those corner bowls and between runs. So much fun and 15 minutes away. And the bike " skills" refresher is great training.
